We have a 30 hour per week vacancy, which can be worked over 4 or 5 days on a rota basis, to cover 3 sites in Redditch and Bromsgrove (Arrowside, Princess of Wales and Smallwood) which will include some evenings and Saturdays.

This post is an excellent opportunity to develop both clinical and administrative skills within sexual health services. We will provide the resources for you to develop and progress and offer flexibility, continual professional development as well as a wide range of wellbeing and support.

We are a welcoming, friendly, supportive team who are professional, well organised and proud of the services we deliver.

Main duties of the job

On a day to day basis you will provide a range of reception/clerical duties which include meeting, greeting and registering patients, either face to face or by telephone, as a first point of call for patients presenting to sexual health services. You will also assist clinical teams in delivering sensitive care to both male and female patients; by acting as a chaperone during examinations and procedures always promoting their dignity and comfort.

Your role includes the opening and closing of clinics, cleaning, stocking and maintaining the clinic environment.

You will take blood and other samples from patients and assist in the preparation and processing of samples, including on site microscopy.
