Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
motivated and enthusiastic psychological therapist/practitioner psychologist/art
psychotherapist to join our psychological therapies team in Herefordshire. This
is a split post working within the
Neighbourhood Mental Health Service (NMHS) 3 days per week, and within our Acute Mental Health Service at
the Stonebow Unit 2 days per week. The post offers the exciting opportunity
to develop skills in evidence-based approaches to contribute to the development
and delivery of psychological intervention in both settings. If you would like

Main duties of the job
The main focus of
this post will be on delivering psychological provision within our community
neighbourhood mental health teams and within our inpatient setting. There is an
emphasis on offering psychological assessment and formulation early-on within a
service-users care journey and delivering individual and group-based structured
psychological interventions for people who present with moderate-complex
emotional needs. You would
be joining a supportive and skilled team consisting of qualified psychologists,
psychological therapists and art therapists, as well as trainee therapists. You
would also be working alongside the MDT and principle clinical psychologist at
the Stonebow Unit. We would be
particularly interested in hearing from qualified Art Psychotherapists.

- Registered as Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC or equivalent e.g. a recorded / registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or a psychological therapy
- Further post graduate qualification OR training and experience in a relevant model of psychological therapy that meets accreditation training standards
- Significant experience working as a psychological therapist in mental health services with people over the age of 18 years and demonstrating the required competences
- Is a member of a professional body, such as BABCP, BPS, NMC upon commencement of the post
