Main duties of the job

What to expect on placement

Your day-to-day experience will vary depending on your AHP profession and chosen service. However, you can expect to play an active role in delivering clinical or therapeutic care as part of a supported caseload.

In community settings, you may need to travel across the county and deliver care through a mix of face-to-face, telephone, and virtual appointments.

If based on a mental health or community hospital ward, youll work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Your role may include:

  • Working with a range of conditions in clinic or community settings
  • Contributing to care plans with supervision
  • Liaising with patients families as part of ongoing care

Flexibility is important, as each day can be different. Youll be supported throughout your placement as you build confidence and develop your clinical skills.
