Job summary
This is a new role within the 0-19 Public Health Nursing service, developed in recognition of the large admin team and the Trusts vision for compassionate leadership in supporting colleagues. This is an opportunity for an experienced manager to join a team and have a real impact on the staff within it.
The post is 30 hours per week with working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate but will need to be worked between 8am and 5pm across Monday to Friday, four or five days per week. The 0-19 Public Health Nursing service operates out of different offices across Worcestershire and therefore we are able to offer the successful candidate a choice of base. It should be noted that the role does require extensive travel across the county on a regular basis so access to a vehicle and the ability to work flexibly is essential for this role. Following induction and training, some home working will be available.

Main duties of the job
Day to day work will include managing a large team of administrators and administration assistants with the support of two senior administrators. You will also work closely with the Operational Manager to develop and maintain robust and efficient processes within all areas of the service. Data collection, reporting and data quality is also a key part of this role.
The successful candidate will be expected to plan their work to enable them to spend time in each of the staff bases across the county to provide face-to-face support to administrators. You will offer regular 1:1 meetings and facilitate peer support sessions for the admin team.
We envisage that this new role will be busy and varied and will require the post holder to have a flexible approach and a calm, professional manner. The ability to work accurately whilst multi-tasking is essential. A can-do attitude and excellent customer service skills are a must.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will be used to working to processes to complete tasks by deadlines and always have the best interests of the patient at the centre of everything you do.
