Job summary

The Primary Care and Community Mental Health Service provide high quality, specialist community services to working age adults with mental health difficulties and eating disorders.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Team Secretary/Administrator within our Eating Disorders Team and Perinatal Mental Health Team. You will be required to work to a high standard of accuracy, have excellent organisational skills and be able to demonstrate initiative in planning your own workload in a way that supports the Team Managers to manage daily operational tasks and processes.

The successful post holder should have a proactive and friendly attitude and be able to demonstrate substantial administrative experience and have the ability to meet the main duties of the role.

You must be able to work under your own initiative, possess excellent organisational skills and be experienced in dealing with confidential information.

You will need to be flexible and mobile as there may be a requirement to work at alternative bases within the county.

Please note the Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to work for this role, to apply you must have current right to work in the UK status.

Main duties of the job

As part of our team, your main duty will be to provide an efficient secretarial and administrative service to the team. You will undertake general office duties such as typing, filing, data uploading, record keeping, scanning/photocopying, making appointments, minute taking and incoming/outgoing mail. You will be dealing with both face to face and telephone enquiries from patients and internal/external agencies and will be required to accurately record information on patients medical records whilst maintaining confidentiality.

  • Educated to academic Level 3 (e.g.: A-Level, NVQ3, OCR/RSA3, City and Guilds 3) in a Business/ Administration related subject or Educated to academic Level 2 (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C) with considerable recent NHS administrative experience and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 3 qualification on appointment to post
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
