Job summary

We are looking for a full time, 37.5 hours, enthusiastic team player to come and join our nursing team. Evesham Community Hospital is a 50 bedded stroke and general rehabilitation unit. The nursing staff work alongside the therapy team and adopt a multidisciplinary team approach to providing rehab to the patients.

We require an innovative, enthusiastic, motivated individual interested in all areas of rehab. You will be required to plan, implement, evaluate and take responsibility for the nursing care of the ward patients on a daily basis. You will be expected to facilitate and support the patient and their families throughout their pathway from admission to discharge.

Evesham Community Hospital plays a critical role in the delivery of local NHS services, providing more care and treatment closer to peoples homes. Emphasis is to reduce length of stay whilst ensuring excellent care which is safe, effective, personalised and compassionate and to the standards you would expect for your family and friends.

Main duties of the job

As a Staff Nurse you will be responsible for providing care to people admitted to our wards for rehabilitation. We work closely as a multi-disciplinary team. Our focusispromoting the comfort and wellbeing of patients, enablingthemto live as independently as possible. Evesham is a friendly team to work with. As a team we encourage ongoing learning and development through reflection and clinical supervision which we try and embed in our daily practice. Our nurses are required to facilitate the day to day running of the ward, administering medications, working alongside all members of the MDT as well as patients, their families and carers to provided 24/7 rehabilitation to enable the highest level of independence and quality of life. Our nurses are required to attend meetings as needed such as MDT and CHC or Discharge Planning.
