An exciting opportunity has
arisen for a Podiatry Team lead in Worcestershire. Are you a highly
experienced, motivated Podiatrist , committed to leading and delivering
excellent standards of patient care?
We are looking for a dynamic and
motivated person to provide excellent leadership within one of the
community podiatry teams covering
Worcester City and Malvern promoting clinical excellence across the county. You will be a compassionate, accountable
individual who treats all colleagues, patients and service users with respect
and seeks to deliver excellence in their role.
You will be a key member
of the service across Worcestershire. You should be an effective communicator with
the drive and enthusiasm to work with your team members to expand their roles.
You should be able to negotiate and collaborate effectively with senior
clinicians and other team leads and facilitate the delivery of excellent
care. You will also need to be able to
manage information to inform service development and to demonstrate achievement
of target.
As a team lead you will
demonstrate leadership skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to work
effectively in partnership with the team, other professional and agencies. You
will be able to work under pressure, manage workload and meet deadlines, have
prioritisation skills and a positive attitude and solution focussed approach to
the delivery of this role.
This is full time post, but we would
consider applicants looking for part time.
Main duties of the job
- Act as
a role model to colleagues, always seeking to maintain the highest standards of
professionalism.
- Use
their initiative and take responsibility for themselves and the quality of
their work and the service they provide to patients.
- Be
responsible for the leadership of the Podiatry Team within a designated
geographical area within Worcester City and Malvern.
- Contribute
with other team leaders to the development of the Podiatry service across the
county.
- Represent
the Trust on matters affecting Podiatry when linking with partner organisations
.
- Take
responsibility for a delegated budget, performance management issues,
recruitment and retention within a designated part of the service.
- Be
responsible for the supervision and appraisal of senior Podiatrists within the
team.
- Working
as an autonomous practitioner, to provide high quality patient focussed care
through assessment, development and delivery of individual intervention
programmes.
- Take
responsibility for own complex caseload within the team, working closely and
liaising with the clinical lead and Multi-Disciplinary Diabetic Foot Team.
- Undertake
clinical assessment and treatment, including management of risks.
- Manage
concerns with team members performance / absence in line with the Trust policies. Ensure
service continuity through monitoring leave and sickness and highlight issues.
