team with their clinical work via supervision, consultation, and case
formulation.
About the service:
The Eating Disorders Teams
is a countywide service that provides clinical management and psychological
interventions for people with eating disorders across Worcestershire.
You will be joining a well-established
multidisciplinary team who values the variety of skills, knowledge and
experience each member brings.
This post is a full time
position, however part time hours will be considered if preferable.
Main duties of the job
The
successful candidate will be responsible for supporting effective
implementation of evidence based psychological therapy for our client group.
The
post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with the key partner
organisations, patients, carers, clinicians and other practitioners within the
multi-disciplinary teams.
Applicants
will need to have a genuine interest in eating disorders and the expansion and
development of the service. The post holder will have a clinical caseload
providing specialist psychological assessments leading to the development of
psychological formulations and interventions, for individuals who present
within this service. The role will also involve delivering training and
supporting the professional development of colleagues to work therapeutically
with our client group. As such, excellent communication and relationship
building skills are essential to this position.

Qualifications
Essential
- BSc/BA Honours degree at 2:1 or above in psychology.
- Post graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Post qualification training in specific, evidence based techniques for use with clients with complex psychological presentations and/or physical health difficulties, across the age span.
- Evidence of regular further professional training and experience as required by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the BPS.
- Eligible for registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) by the BPS.
- Eligible for registration as a Practitioner member of the BPS Division of Clinical/Counselling Psychology.
