Job summary
This is a part time post working 15 hours per week as a Warehouse Operative.
Suggested work pattern: Monday to Friday 9am to 12noon.
We welcome people who have worked in warehouse environments previously and want to use their existing skills in the NHS.
Equally we are keen to hear from individuals who are passionate about service delivery and keen to promote excellence in health care, in a role that does not require clinical training or previous specific experience, who want to be part of a highly efficient team, making a difference to patients and clinicians.

Main duties of the job
Gain knowledge of equipment, be able to select it from stock and load a van based on the next days scheduled plan, with the support of senior drivers and warehouse supervisors.
Supported to gain skills for handling equipment, including manual handling processes and risk assessments to look after your safety and wellbeing when moving equipment.
Communicating politely with queries from patients, carers and staff when preparing equipment, liaising with Warehouse Supervisors if help is required.
Quality check work prior to internally transferring equipment through to the main warehouse.
Cleaning returned equipment, maintaining a clean, safe warehouse, and undertaking duties associated with the maintenance of stock.
Adhere to the correct policies and procedures in line with Infection Prevention and control, COSHH, Health and safety and Manual Handling guidelines.
