Herefordshire and Worcestershire Talking Therapies are one of the leading Talking Therapies services for Relational Therapies (Counselling) in the country. We provide therapy across all NICE concordant Relational Therapies andoffer supervision specific to each modality. We are currently expanding our workforce. If you are looking for a role where your

We have 3 funded training
opportunities provided by NHS England across the service working Monday to Friday
37.5 hours per week.
Upon successful completion of the course, you
will obtain a NICE approved Talking Therapies qualification and move into a permanent
Band 7 post as a CCfD (Couples Therapy for Depression) High Intensity Therapist.

continual professional development, and a wide range of wellbeing and support.

Main duties of the job
A typical week will involve working autonomously and as part of a
team. You will be learning through study
and in practice, developing skills and competence.
Under supervision you will work collaboratively with patients in your
care to assess and provide psychological interventions, supporting individuals
to work towards recovery.
You will maintain clear and accurate clinical records and will be
supported to embed learning and reflect on your practice via regular clinical
supervision, recording clinical sessions for academic purposes.
You will be involved in various aspects of clinical practice, for
example, undertaking patient assessments, facilitating groups, and offering
therapy in the modality you are training in.
You will be actively able to participate in other aspects of the
service to include referral meetings, clinical skills sessions, and other areas
of interest.

- A minimum two-year post-graduate (or equivalent) qualification in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Psychotherapy, Counselling, or Counselling Psychology, comprising no less than 450 hours programme contact AND no less than 100 hours supervised counselling or psychotherapy practice
Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 350 hours supervised counselling or psychotherapy practice.
- Demonstrable experience of working within mental health services.
- Experience of conducting accurate and detailed clinical assessments and management of risk.
Desirable
- More than 450 hours supervised counselling or psychotherapy practice
- Demonstrable experience of working in a service with patients who have mild/moderate mental health problems
- Worked within a service whereby agreed targets are in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
- Experience of working within a stepped care service for anxiety and depression
