Job summary
An exciting band 7 clinical leadership opportunity has
arisen for a qualified and experienced paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) /
Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) or Physiotherapist; leading the Child Development
and Specialist Play teams within Children, Young People & Families Service
Delivery Unit.
The successful
candidate will be able to demonstrate a highly advanced understanding of holistic
child development in the early years and the wider system of SEND support.
The Child
Development and Specialist Play services work with babies and pre-school
children with significant development delay or a known medical
condition/diagnosis who require a specialist approach.
The successful candidate
would need to be prepared to work at all 3 Worcestershire Child Development
Centres c as appropriate and travel to deliver care to Worcestershire children
within their homes.
Main duties of the job
The successful
candidate will have support from the senior management team but will need to be
able to make management and clinical decisions with autonomy, guided by trust
policies.
The service is undergoing a period
of review and transformation the successful candidate will be expected to work
closely with the advanced clinical practitioner to ensure the quality and
implementation of new initiatives. You will need to have recent experience of
quality improvement, audit or research.
You will be responsible for the
operational running of the child development centre service; including line
management of the team, triage and, management of the 3 child development
centre sites.
You will work as part of a
multidisciplinary team to ensure clinical quality and outcomes of intervention.
