Do you have a real passion for working with children and young people with learning disabilities? We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated clinician to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Learning Disability (LD) team to help deliver responsive and effective support for children, young people and their families.
This post is for 28.5 hours (0.7 WTE) a week. We offer flexibility around post location, to suit your individual needs. However, as this post involves community working, you would be expected to be able travel throughout the county.

Main duties of the job
You will be a qualified professional, holding current registration with
a relevant professional body. You will manage a caseload of young people with
complex mental health needs, providing assessments and therapeutic treatment programmes
for these CYP. You will care co-ordinate a number of young people on your
caseload, carry out risk assessments appropriate for children and young people
with a learning disability and monitor and evaluate interventions using outcome
measures.
Working in collaboration with
other relevant agencies according to the needs of the young person, you will be
promoting and maintaining good working relationships and effective
communication through liaison with service users, colleagues and other professionals.
You will operate in any appropriate settings including CAMHS bases,
schools, families homes, residential homes, etc.
Due to working within highly emotional environments, will require a high degree of self-awareness
and effective communication skills at all levels.
You will be expected to work on a flexible basis, to ensure the service can operate effectively
to meet individual needs.
This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all
mandatory training including Safety Intervention (subject to Occupational
Health Clearance).
