Multi-skilled craftsperson Covering North Worcestershire

This role is Band 4 On-call allowance 37.5 hours per week.

Hereford And Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is looking to recruit an Estates multi-skilled Craftsperson who is mechanically biased to work within the Estates Team at Bromsgrove Community Hospital. You will be keen and enthusiastic working within a large team to assist in the provision of a high level of service to the hospital and other satellite sites to include Redditch, Droitwitch Tenbury and Kidderminster. Your duties will include carrying out maintenance and repairs (reactive or planned) to the hospital's mechanical services.

The post holder will be required to part take in the trades on-call rota (North) and hold a full driving license to carry out their duties.

Main duties of the job

The candidate will ideally have experience with mechanical repairs and services, and you must be an effective team worker, with the ability to provide support to other tradesmen within the Estates Department. To liaise with Estates Officer / Estates Manager regarding plant or equipment failures and to request the supply of goods and/or services as necessary. Ability to carry out cross trades works including mechanical and building repairs. Ability to carry out cross trades works including multi skilled works.

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Diploma Heating Ventilation, Building Services Engineering or Diploma Plumbing and heating
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer

  • Gas Safe Registered for commercial systems

Experience

Essential

  • Multi-skilled
  • Serving of a recognised apprenticeship or other approved training and experience
  • Experience in all types of electrical installation work
