- Exciting opportunity for a highly motivated band 6 children's nurse in our Children's Community Nursing Service.
- Opportunity to complete cytotoxic administration training.
- Opportunity to develop teaching skills
- Focus on acute conditions: short-term enteral feeding, IV antibiotics, oxygen therapy, wound care, blood sampling via central venous access devices (CVAD's) and support for children with long-term conditions, including our oncology caseload. Care is delivered in children's homes, and in our clinic.
- Collaboration with allied professionals, the wider multi-disciplinary team, social care, and local education providers.
- Driver not essential

Main duties of the job
- Seeking Band 6 children's nurses with motivation to work in our integrated Children's Community Nursing Service.
- Requires the ability to work autonomously and within a collaborative nursing team.
- Involvement in acute and long-term condition treatments and teaching
- Special duties include supporting clinical nurse specialists in asthma, special schools, phlebotomy, haemoglobinopathy, and continence care.
