Job summary
We have an amazing opportunity for a qualified Band 8a Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join the Richmond Response and Rehabilitation Team (RRRT) to support the UCR service in the borough of Richmond.
Advanced Clinical Practice should be delivered by experienced registered health and care practitioners. It is a level of practice characterised by a high level of autonomy and complex decision making. This is underpinned by a Masters level award or equivalent that encompasses the four pillars of practice:
- Clinical practice
- Leadership and management
- Research
- Education
What we are looking for:
- Completed MSc in advanced Clinical Practice or Relevant ANP courses at level 7 or equivalent in Advanced Physical Assessment skills, Minor Illness, disease management, etc.
- A Non-medical prescribing qualification
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Teaching qualification, i.e. 998 or equivalent (Desirable)
- Satisfactory DBS clearance
- Experience of managing acute undifferentiated presentations
- Ability to triage
- Good understanding of autonomous practice within community services including prevention of hospital admission and discharge to assess and the roles that deliver this
Main duties of the job
In addition to standard nursing/ therapeutic duties, the post holders will be:
- Accountable for clinical governance and leadership within the service.
- Expected to work across organisational and professional boundaries
- Develop effective partnerships working in accordance with agreed Trust, South West London and national strategic direction.
- Implementing evidence-based practice is inherent throughout all aspects of care delivery and treatment, to ensure this knowledge is disseminated throughout the service and trust.
