Healthcare Assistants Immunisations
We are looking for enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant immunisations to assist in the provision of the 2023/2024 inhaled influenza vaccine in school and clinic settings as delegated by the registered nurse.
Access to a car is essential with appropriate driving license. You will be based at various sites across the boroughs. Please ensure that your application demonstrates that you meet the essential criteria as listed in the job specification and the location of your choice.

Main duties of the job
To support immunisation programmes within the school and clinics by:
Triaging consent forms & highlighting concerns to the Immunisation nurse.
Collecting and returning vaccine whilst maintaining the cold chain.
Preparing all necessary equipment required prior to session.
Ensure consent and clinical assessment has already taken place.
Administration of the nasal flu vaccine only under the direction of the immunisation nurse.
Provide administrative support within the immunisation session as required.
Wear adequate PPE in line with current national guidelines.
Ensure safe and proper disposal of clinical waste and change of PPE as per local and national guidelines.
Co-ordination of pupils waiting for vaccination.
