Job summary

Hounslow Primary Care led by the Primary Care Networks (PCN) and Clinical Directors have several programmes of work looking at strengthening the workforce in primary care which include development of new roles under the additional roles reimbursement scheme (ARRS), strengthening the workforce through enhanced approaches to training and development and attracting the best candidates for roles in PCNs and Practices. This is a key role that encompasses strategic planning, leadership, and management of key aspects of workforce transformation through the introduction of a comprehensive multi professional education and training framework for primary care. The post holder will be responsible for creating opportunities for outstanding talent to be developed and retained both in Hounslow Practices and their respective Primary Care Networks ensuring the sustainability of the primary care workforce.

The post holder will have a leading role locally in providing high quality education and training, working with a complex and diverse range of stakeholders including primary care providers, Clinical Leads and other education and training providers, as well as a broader role that encompasses care partners across the Integrated Care System (ICS), HigherEducation Institutions (HEIs) and Health Education England (HEE).

Main duties of the job

This is a key role that addresses workforce transformation through a cohesive approach to education, training and development across 5 PCNs and 46 practices with an ongoing programme of work to support wide cultural change and ensure programme alignment with national, regional and local priorities.

You will provide professional leadership to the nurses and allied health professionals (AHPs) across the 5 Hounslow Boroughs (Hounslow Health, Great West Road, Feltham and Bedfont, Brentworth and Chiswick) ensuring the standards, delivery and development of practice meet the needs of people and communities. As a professional leader with experience of supporting transformation programmes, you will motivate teams and inspire a culture of continuous improvement using your highly developed communication and negotiation skills that will enable Hounslow Primary Care to advance all aspects of nursing and AHP practice.

  • Masters in relevant specialist subject or equivalent experience
