In collaboration with Dementia UK, Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare (HRCH) are looking to recruit a registered nurse (RN, RNMH, RNLD) with a passion for, and experience of, providing relationship-centred dementia care with a strong sense of advocacy and equalities for this client group to join the Richmond community dementia service.

Main duties of the job
Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses who work with and support people with dementia and their families who have complex needs. As an Admiral Nurse you will provide specialist one-to-one support, guidance, and practical solutions for families, alongside supporting best practice and providing role modelling across Richmond.
As the Admiral Nurse Clinical Lead you will be managing the Admiral Nursing team, as well as balancing the clinical caseload for the service, alongside setting-up, developing and evaluating the service. You will also influence and support the delivery of work streams that improve the experience of care for people living with dementia, and their families from pre-diagnosis to post-bereavement.
The successful applicantwill be a NMC registered nurse,withsignificantpost-registration clinical experience of working with people with dementia andsupportingtheir carers/supporters in different settings, including the primary care setting, along with formal knowledge ofdementia acquired through clinical post-graduate training/education.
About us
You will be employed by HRCH and based within the dementia team in Teddington health and social care centre. You will work under the direct management of Richmond Specialist Rehabilitation Services Manager and will receive ongoing support from Dementia UK to maintain and strengthen your clinical expertise as a specialist nurse within dementia care.
You will become part of the wider network of Admiral Nurses and will have the opportunity to access relevant postgraduate courses and develop professionally, as informed by the Admiral Nurse Competency Framework.
