Job summary
Working as a partnership, both Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust have a shared vision for excellence in care for our patients and communities; with a set of strategic aims underpinning how we will achieve this.
The single corporate service is delivered across both organisation. You will be based at PHU and individuals may be required to undertake business travel between sites. For leaders managing staff across multi-site locations, you will need to be visible and provide in person leadership. The arrangements and frequency will be agreed locally.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated safeguarding professional to join our senior safeguarding team as the Named Professional for Safeguarding Adults. This is a pivotal Trust-wide leadership role, influencing practice, culture, and outcomes for adults at risk across our organisation and with key partner agencies.
You will provide expert advice, strategic leadership, and professional support to staff at all levels, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding practice, governance, and learning. Working across complex systems, you will collaborate with multi-agency partners to strengthen coordinated responses and improve outcomes for vulnerable adults.
