Specialist Research Nurse Band 6 - Oncology

Full Time: 37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job

If you are and would like to join a dynamic and caring team, delivering Oncology research then keep reading. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our successful Research and Innovation Department, working as a Specialist Research Nurse within the Oncology research team. Due to significant growth across the whole oncology portfolio the post holder may be expected to work across a diverse range of cancer types including lung, breast, colorectal, gynaecological and brain. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of high quality Commercial and National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) portfolio studies and will be expected to contribute to all aspects of trial delivery across the Trust.

  • Current RN Adult / RGN registration with NMC
  • Degree in relevant field
  • Evidence of recent CPD
  • Clinical post registration experience

Desirable

  • Relevant experience in Management /Leadership Course training.
  • Post graduate level qualification in research, healthcare related subject or equivalent
  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Training for Research
  • Previous experience of project management and/or participating in the co-ordination of clinical trials
  • Previous experience of leadership and management
  • Evidence of systems development and change management.
  • Phlebotomy
