Patient Transport Service/Transport Team Leader (Dispatch Focused)
Band 4 - full time salary - £26,530 to £29,114

Main duties of the job
oTo be responsible as the Integrated Transport Services Team Leader for daily Operations of PTS Dispatch Team and assist with the running of Patient Transport, Non-Patient Transport ServicesoCarry out Duties of Patient Transport Services Care Assistant / Driver
oIn conjunction with the resourcing administrator ensure staffing levels are maintained within the hours of operation to meet our contractual requirements, to provide short notice cover from staffing to meet unexpected demand beyond PTS contractual requirements but in line with hospital need.oCarry out quality audit and statistical returns as required, to include analysis and preparation of PTS Electronic Booking data for business planning, CCG reports and resource management. Identifying and implementing cost savings. And ensuring staff follow processes laid out.oProvide ongoing training and technical support for all end users of PTS Electronic Booking and dispatch.

Assist in providing patient demand pattern information to influence staff rotas.
Ensure accurate completion by staff and action of vehicle/base/equipment defects.
Assist with the collation and production of information for reports.
Liaise with: NHS Colleagues, Voluntary Sector, Social Services, Independent Sector, Service Users
Adherence to Trust/Service policies
Provide support to staff in difficult circumstances.
Liaise with patients, carers, Health Care Assistants.
Liaise with Ambulance control and officers
Analysis and Judgement
Ensure that systems currently in place are fully operational.
Ensure any complaints are correctly processed and responded to.
Completion of non-attendance reporting form for contracted staff has been undertaken and actioned with correct return to work process conducted by team leader.
Carry out patient movement risk assessments.
