We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about delivering high quality analytics to join our new analytics team that serves both Portsmouth University Hospitals NHS Trust and Isle of Wight NHS Trust.

As a Practitioner Analyst, the successful candidate will support one of our Business Partners to provide insights from data that can be turned into actions and support the delivery of the Trusts Analytics Strategy.

Main duties of the job

  • Supporting performance delivery and patient outcomes through data reporting and analysis.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining a suite of analytical solutions to support operational day to day running and process improvement.
  • Utilising SQL to query and summarise large and complex data sets from multiple systems.
  • Presenting large and complex data and themes in a way that makes them accessible to all.
  • Using data to help support informed decision making and drive improvement.

  • Design and develop dashboards and reports to support achievement of operating plans.

Essential

  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working in specialist area
  • Minimum of three years' experience working in a senior position in a data or analytics team, preferably in health or social care sector
  • Experience of researching best practice interpreting its relevance and processes / practices
  • Experience of working with complex performance and information management scenarios while also developing and presenting insights and guidance of a very high quality

  • Professional Registration
  • Experience of leading a code-first analytical function, with experience using and developing open-source code.
