ALERT is a multi-professional course to train staff in recognising patient deterioration and act appropriately in treating the acutely unwell.
ALERT HQ is based at Portsmouth Hospitals University Trust and has developed a suite of courses.
ALERTis a national and internationally recognised course and has taught to date over 200,000 people in clinical practice across all areas and specialities of healthcare. It is updated everyfour years to reflect best evidence-based practice and continues to be a committed course to enhancing confidence and ability for clinical staff across all sectors.
The ALERT team is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated administrator to help support the efficient and smooth running of the Suite of courses both internally and to external customers nationally and internationally providing exceptional customer service to ensure customer retention and growth.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills, be able to work under pressure and to deadlines, contributing to;
- Providingadministerial support with the ALERT administrator counterpart to the ALERT Professional Education Team with co-ordination and Administration of courses and programmes for staff and students
- Co-ordinate Induction of staff with the ALERT Suite of Courses, being the first point of call for both Trust employees and External Customers.
- Issue and maintain licences of ALERT Suite of Courses communicating expiry dates where necessary.
- Liaising with customers and prospectus customers providing relevant information on the ALERT Suite of courses.
We expect you to be able to work on your own initiative with the ability to effectively organise your own workload. Experience raising purchase orders, invoicing and liaising with various people across different trusts and organisations would be advantageous however, full training and support will be provided.

- Co-locate teams in purpose-built facilities on the Island and in Portsmouth to enable closer working and sharing.
- Build resilience for individuals and our teams.
The single corporate service is delivered across both organisation. You may be based at either IWT or PHU and individuals may be required to undertake business travel between sites. For leaders managing staff across multi-site locations, you will need to be visible and provide in person leadership. The arrangements and frequency will be agreed locally.
