Job summary

We are recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant for the Discharge Lounge who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. Job responsibilities

To liaise with wards and departments to ensure the safe transfer of patients waiting to leave hospital into the Discharge Lounge and to their onward destination.

Assist patients in all areas of daily living activities including personal hygiene support if needed.

Assist patients in accessing food and fluids and providing assistance where required.

Escort patients from other areas / departments as per the trust escort protocol.

You will be expected to support other clinical areas to support with relevant duties when demand for the discharge lounge is reduced in order to support patient flow.

Provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients waiting to leave hospital, providing excellent patient care.
