Job responsibilities
As part of an experienced and well-established team, you will be responsible for tracking and monitoring cancer patient pathways using a wide range of IT systems.
Communicating effectively with patients to ensure diagnostic test are achieved in line with the faster diagnostic cancer standard.
Other duties include enabling data for Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings and data collection for national audit and dataset purposes.
You will also be required to assist in the patient tracking meetings and provide provision of regular updates on performance against Cancer Waiting Times standards and the reporting of breaches. A well-organised and systematic approach is a necessity.
You will be reliable, have good IT skills and be motivated and flexible to provide a high-quality patient facing service. Escalation of delays to clinical and management teams requires excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Cancer Waiting Times standards would be an advantage and PAS/Patient Centre experience within the hospital setting are essential.
