The general medical emergency on-call rota Frequency will be reduced to 1:11 weekdays. The on-call Consultant must be available between 2200-0800 for advice and to come in if required.   • MBBS or equivalent.
  • Membership with the relevant Royal College for the speciality.
  • GMC registration and license to practice.
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Geriatrics and general medicine via a. CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), b. CESR or c. European Community rights

Experience and Skills

Essential

  • Should have completed a recognised training programme in General Internal Medicine.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a hight level of clinical experience and competence in GIM
  • IT skills.

Teaching

Essential

  • Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, post-graduates and junior medical staff.

Audit and Research

Essential

  • Evidence of participation in clinical audit relevant to specialty.

Motivation

Essential

  • Commitment to the development of a high quality cost effective service to.
