Job summary

We are recruiting for an Apprentice Technician who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards great people, great place.

The successful candidate will be expected to work across the whole of the Isle of Wight working closely with mainland providers. Your will work within the Assistive Technology and Telehealthcare Team to prevent hospital admission and facilitate earlier discharge and reduce the need to move into a care home, by providing technological devices as part of housing support and care arrangements.

Job responsibilities

Job Purpose

The post holder will be expected to work across the whole of the Isle of Wight together with close liaison and cross working with mainland providers. They will be required to communicate with a broad range of clinical staff across different primary care and acute clinical services and also with patients, carers and the general public.

The Technician will work within the Assistive Technology and Telehealthcare Team.

This post requires the ability to travel routinely within the Isle of Wight area working with a team.

Job Statement

This post requires exceptional communication skills, in particular interpersonal and persuasive skills as well as knowledge and experience of using Telehealth in the clinical environment.
