We are a well-established CAMHS service dedicated to aiding children and young people living their best lives through positive mental wellbeing. We are recruiting a High Intensity CBT Practitioner who can help us meet and enhance our existing CBT offer. You will join us in a friendly, kind, supportive and caring team and be a valued member of a strong multi-disciplinary team.

The IOW CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary service of professionals; working together to provide specialist community focused mental health services for young people, some of whom have complex mental health difficulties. Our team consists of a Team Lead, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Consultants in Psychiatry, Clinical Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, Systemic Family Psychotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Peer Support Workers, Social Workers, and Mental Health Nurses and Practitioners. The service offers individual and family appointments, systemic therapy, individualised packages of care and group work as well as consultation and training for colleagues working in health, education, and social care.
Job purpose
The post holder will be part of the child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) and will provide high intensity therapy as approved by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
The post holder will work with patients who have a range of moderate to severe anxiety and depression, and severe common mental health problems for which high intensity psychological interventions are demonstrated to be clinically effective.
The post holder will have experience of working with children and young people who have ASC/ ADHD and learning disabilities and be able to adapt working styles to meet the required need. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds, disabilities, and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
