Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a positive, motivated, and organised person to join the Clinical Systems Testing and Training Team within Clinical Systems until 31st March 2024.

Clinical Systems Training and Testing Analyst role will be key in the provision, support and management of the Clinical systems used within the Isle of Wight NHS Trust and in supporting the ongoing development and implementation and adoption of our Digital Strategy through testing and training.

The role will involve system configuration, testing functionality in accordance with test scripts and producing training materials and SOPS for the systems managed by the Clinical Systems Team. Delivering training in a variety of methods, including remotely, face to face classroom based, one to one training and floor walking. Ensuring that all training is delivered to the expected high standards and any updated functionality is understood in detail.

We are looking for somebody enthusiastic who can demonstrate effective communication and analytical skills.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Systems Analyst role is key in the provision, support and management of the Clinical systems used within the Isle of Wight NHS Trust. The job holder is to configure, test and produce training materials and SOPS for the systems managed by Information Systems. This is to ensure any data required for local and national reporting is collected and accurate.

The post holder will be required to interpret relevant policies and use their own initiative to ensure the systems record all required data. The job holder is required to take responsibility for maintaining master files within the systems they manage. They need to create processes to ensure data completeness and accuracy by identifying and analysing data anomalies. They instigate corrective action through communication with department managers and training of staff.

The job holder needs to ensure that all reporting timetables within the Trust and for external information users are met.

  • Degree in IT or business-related subject or equivalent relevant experience
  • Knowledge of specific healthcare/clinical related applications such as PAS (Patient Administration System), EPR (Electronic Patient Record), and eReferrals
  • Hold local training qualification such as "AET" or willing to work towards in first year
  • IT Literate and practical experience of Windows software, e.g. Word, Excel, etc.
  • Understanding of NHS data standards and NHS data items.

Desirable

  • ITIL Foundation
  • Significant experience of multiple information Systems gained in a work environment

Aptitudes and Abilities

  • Evidence of willingness to build upon existing applications support skills and experience
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks while under pressure, without reference to line manager
