We are recruiting for an Associate Director of Operations Urgent and Emergency Care who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. Working in a team with Clinical Leads and the Head of Nursing, the post holder has responsibility for delivering financial and operational performance of services within Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) including ownership of key performance standards and measures for their services. Service specific aims, objectives and KPI's will be detailed in each post holder's personal appraisal.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the operational management of all services across Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) including:

    • Emergency Department (ED)
    • Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC)
    • Acute Medicine
    • Acute Assessment Unit (AAU)

You will be responsible for the operational management of all services across Urgent and Emergency Care ensuring timely provision of high-quality services that meet the needs of patients and service users, quality requirements and the Care Quality commission 5 key themes and core standards.

To Manage a portfolio of work, leading on planning and delivery of services within UEC, working with service clinicians, visiting consultants and other clinical team members in the service and across the integrated system to develop and drive forward strategic and operational plans

To represents the Trust in all aspects of the post holders services as required

Promote a positive profile of the Trust at meetings to all stakeholders

Deliver the service specific standards and Key Performance Indicators ensuring the collection and analysis of all relevant data and information
