Job summary

We are recruiting for a Ophthalmology Theatre and Day Unit Deputy Team Lead with recovery skills who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. This is a full time positions working 37.5 hrs, service hours are Monday - Friday 07:30 - 18:00

This is an exciting time in our Ophthalmology department, as we are reviewing our services in line with the elective recovery and Getting It Right First-Time program, to ensure we are delivering excellent quality care to those patients with Ophthalmic conditions requiring conservative and surgical management, and those requiring emergency care.

Main duties of the job

Our services include emergency referrals from the Emergency Department, urgent care centre and GPs, Ophthalmology outpatient clinics, minor procedure clinics and day surgery through designated Ophthalmic theatres.

Are you an experienced band 5 Theatre Recovery Practitioner looking to take the next step into a leadership role? or are you a band 6 Theatre Recovery Practitioner interested in demonstrating your existing management and leadership skills in a specialised area?

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic team worker, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, dedicated to improving the patient experience and providing quality care. If this is you, we would be delighted to see your application for this pivotal role that supports our patients on the Ophthalmology surgical pathway, and the team in our dedicated Theatre, Day Surgical unit, Minor ops area and Cataract clinics.
