This is a truly exciting time to join our team as we work towards launching our newly developed £10m Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) that will deliver first-class diagnostic care to our community.

The new centre will have the ability to deliver joined up diagnostic care, and with increased capacity this will ensure our patients will have faster access to treatment, earlier diagnosis, and improved outcomes.

You will need to have a flexible approach to service provision which will involve evenings and weekends.

Apprentice Radiographers for 3 years:

The successful candidate will complete a 3 Year University led BSc Diagnostic Imaging Apprenticeship and to obtain HCPC registration.

65% of Band 5 for first year

70% of Band 5 for second year

75% of Band 5 for third year

(This is a three-year fixed term contract working 37.5 hours per week)

On completion of apprenticeship and on receipt of full HCPC registration Band 5 pay point 1.

Main duties of the job

This is a new role training as an apprentice to be a registered General Radiographer in St. Mary's Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to establish a career in Radiography. Training will be via the University of Exeter and involves distance learning combined with on the job training.

You will develop the knowledge and skills required of a Diagnostic Radiographer as listed in the job description.

You will be required to attend the mandatory block academic attendance at the selected Higher Education Institute (HEI).

To engage in the mandatory minimum 20% directed and self-directed study, either locally at the apprenticeship placement or at a Trust hub and to engage with the learning, clinical training and portfolio activities, and discussions with allocated mentors and Assessors.

On qualification, the expectation will be that the student will apply for a role in the training Trust, subject to available post.
