Isle Talk IAPT offers access to evidence based psychological therapies for people experiencing depression, anxiety disorders and PTSD. The service forms part of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies agenda to offer increased access to NICE compliant talking therapies across a range of modalities. Our clinicians work with patients from a variety of diverse back grounds and circumstances and offer treatment in both central office and community settings. Isle Talk forms part of the IOW NHS mental health division's cluster of specialist mental health services. The role of the High Intensity Therapist is crucial for delivering treatment to those with more moderate to severe presentations of depression, anxiety and PTSD.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be required to attend a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for depression and anxiety disorders with the university of Southampton for one year. During this time you will practice under supervision to develop competence and support service delivery. The candidate will work alongside fellow High Intensity Therapists, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, employment services and our administrative team. They will be accountable in their clinical practice to a supervisor, Clinical Lead and receive line management from a Team Lead.
