We are recruiting for a Apprentice Learning and Development Assistant who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. The Learning and Development Journeys Team has a great opportunity for an Apprentice Learning and Development Assistant to join a dynamic and innovative team who thrive on growing and developing our people. We are seeking an individual who has a passion for education and development to support the delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement. We will be keen to develop your existing skills and abilities further enhancing your career potential.

You will use your knowledge and skills in Microsoft to support in producing a range of concise and engaging communications, including website, flyers, bulletins, and data to inform our current and future workforce. Liaising with colleagues to keep the Learning Zone intranet pages accurate.

You will have the opportunity to support with internal and external events such as National Careers week and National Apprenticeship week.

Main duties of the job

Work as part of the Learning and Development Journey's team to provide high quality, efficient and effective administrative and clerical support using Trust email & Intranet systems as required.

Embody our Trust values when dealing with general enquiries made to the team and advising or directing as appropriate in a timely manner either in person, over the phone or via IT systems.

Liaise with others on matters agreed within sphere of responsibility. On occasions may have to exchange confidential & sensitive information to team members

Maintenance of reports, spreadsheets, website content and correspondence using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams and PowerPoint or bespoke software/databases.

To prioritise and respond to internal and external enquiries by e-mail, phone or virtually (for example: Microsoft Teams).

Ensure effective internal communication between different groups of staff through access to briefings, formal team brief, intranet and e-bulletin.

Keep information on the intranet and internet up to date by liaising with the relevant people.

Assist with producing reports for internal or external audit purposes.

  • GCSE grade A-C/4-9 in English and Maths, or Equivalent Maths and English Functional Skills Level 2.
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration
  • Willing to work towards Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft office applications and web-based systems
