Job summary

The post holder will work as part of the Specialist Community Forensic Team leadership team, working with secure hospitals and community agencies to support individuals with complex needs to progress out of secure mental health hospital facilities and into suitable accommodations.

Main duties of the job

Supporting service development, delivery and improvement.

Supporting the clinical leadership within an MDT.

Providing operational management with support of service manager

Supporting team learning from complaints and incidents.

Ensure effective Human Resource management in accordance with SHSC Trust policy.

Ensuring the delivery of a high quality service.

Representing SCFT and SHSC in meetings and other forums.

Organise, integrate, and lead a multi-professional team in providing a high quality service to service users of SHSC

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues within the Trust and other relevant services and key stakeholders, in order to maintain a safe and effective service.

Act as a champion for SCFT, demonstrating a participative and supportive management style with a commitment to team working.

Maintain close links with all relevant agencies associated with the service

Provide expertise, advice and clinical and managerial leadership and role modelling to the teams they are working with.

Provide supervision and support to the staff members of the team

Undertake line management duties as delegated by Service Manager.

Attend relevant meetings with other services that may come into contact with the team.

Ensure that the team develops and maintains close links with GPs and other agencies, keeping them informed about the role and function of the team.

Ensure effective communication and collaboration with all team members and liaise as necessary with key stakeholders and services across the crisis and emergency care network.

Attend and contribute to Operational and Governance meetings, working in partnership with the other members of the leadership team
