Job summary
This is a training role within Sheffield Talking Therapies service (formerly known as IAPT). The post-holder will work within the Talking Therapiesservice providing high volume low intensity interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training for thisrole. The training post will equip the post holder to provide a range of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) basedself-managementinterventions to service to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. The post holder will work in the service for 4 days a week using the newly developed skills whilst attending the training programme for 1 day.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

Main duties of the job
To meet the National Talking Therapies standards (which currently includes an individual minimum 52% recovery rate, 48% reliable recovery rate and 67% reliable improvement). To ensure productivity expectations are met in line with the National Talking Therapies manual, currently to deliver 20 clinical contact hours (pro-rata) per week. These standards are reviewed nationally, and it is expected that staff will continue to meet any updated standards.
To meet patient needs by working across Sheffield according to demand. Clinicians are expected to offer one early appointment and one late appointment per week (outside 9-5pm working hours) and Saturday working on occasion if required.

To contribute to the development of best practice within theservice.
To maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and procedures inrelation to Mental Healthand PrimaryCare Services.
