Team Administrator, Band 4, Specialist Community Learning Disability Service
Base at Firshill Rise and Grenoside Grange, Sheffield
working 37.5 hours per week
The Specialist Community Learning Disability Service operates from 8am to 8pm and staff will be expected to work flexibility to meet the needs of the service and be able to travel independently across two bases: Firshill Rise and Grenoside Grange.
This is an exciting time to join our service as we are currently in the process of developing our service and ways of working. We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, flexible, hardworking and motivated to contribute to our developing Business Support service.

The Specialist Community Learning Disability Service offers health support to adults who have a Learning Disability who live in Sheffield, we support a fabulous range of people from a really diverse background and although it can occasionally be challenging, no two days are the same.
The Business Support Team is well valued within Learning Disabilities, and we work alongside a highly specialist team to provide a great service.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Team Administrator will be to support the Business Support Manager in the provision of high quality and dedicated administrative support to the Specialist Community Learning Disability Service.

The postholder will be expected to organise their workload, whilst working alongside the other administrative staff within the team, ensuring activities are co-ordinated to provide an efficient service in an area where workloads can be non-routine and quick changing.
The postholder will be expected to monitor and assess the workload within the administration team, identify gaps and direct resources to cover and ensure continuity of services (where appropriate and dependent on priority). They will also act as a resource for other colleagues within the administrative team.
To deputise for the Business Support Manager in case of leave, sickness, training.
To provide support and cover for the Access & Referral Co-ordinator in case of leave, sickness, training and in case of high demand.
The role requires an experienced individual with excellent communication and organisational skills and personal credibility.

- Strong organisational skills, working efficiently using own initiative
- Good understanding around confidentiality and data protection issues with regards to both clients and staff
- Ability to produce documentation to a consistently high and accurate standard (standard of grammar and spelling in application form)
- Ability to assimilate and present information in an easy to understand format
Desirable
- Ability to problem solve and seek advice where appropriate
- Ability to operate and access patient information systems
- Ability to plan and prioritise diverse workload for self and others and meet deadlines
- Previous staff management experience
