Job summary

At Sheffield Health and Social Care (SHSC), we are committed to providing excellent care to our service users. We are currently seeking a Programme Manager for a 12-month fixed-term role within our Programme Management Office (PMO). The Programme Manager will lead multiple complex projects, working with clinical and operational leads, partner organisations, and experts by experience to ensure service users, carers, and families are at the heart of delivery.

The post holder will have a proven track record of successful programme and project implementation and can handle the complexity of working on numerous projects at the same time. They will also have experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders and building strong relationships across teams and organisations and overseeing change management processes and the successful adoption of changes. They will monitor quality and performance to ensure that projects are delivered to a high standard, driving continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for delivering programmes and projects applying skills, knowledge and experience of programme and project management to promote successful delivery and providing effective leadership to teams. This includes the competent use of control strategies, developing and maintaining realistic project, quality and risk management plans, creating effective teams and providing robust information to the Programme / Project Boards to assist good governance and decision making.
