Main duties of the job
Job purpose
The post holder will be an accredited (or working towards acquiring full accreditation) CBT therapist working in Sheffield Talking Therapies. They will provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to adults with depression and a range of anxiety disorders in line with NICE guidance and the National Talking Therapies manual.
General requirements
The post holder will offer CBT for depression and/or anxiety to patients in a variety of settings, predominantly related to primary care. To meet the National Talking Therapies standards for recovery, reliable recovery, and reliable improvement, and to deliver 20 clinical contact hours (pro-rata) per week. To ensure productivity expectations are met in line with the National Talking Therapies manual. To meet patient needs by working across Sheffield according to demand. Working a minimum of 22.5 hours per week over 3 days in line with service requirements.
To offer at least one early appointment and one late appointment per week and Saturday working on occasion if required.
Mandatory attendance at profession-specific and service non-clinical time, which involves supervision, line management, meetings, forums and CPD opportunities.
Deliver face-to-face and virtual treatment sessions with patients on a weekly basis. Be able and willing to physically be in work for the full working hours if there is a service need.

This includes contemporaneous notes completed within 24 hours on the agreed patient record system, checking SHSC patient administration system prior to taking on new patients to check any risk or suitability issues, and to send a discharge summary to GP practices once completed treatment.Commitment to improving individual recovery rates in line with national targets, using data, supervision and CPD for continuous improvement.
