Job summary

To provide the full range of corporate assurance administrative support services as required and as allocated by the Associate Director and their line manager the Head of Corporate Assurance.

To play a full and active role as part of the Corporate Assurance team and the wider teams sitting with the Associate Director taking on corporate roles and projects as required.

Key working relationships will include members of the Board of Directors, Council of Governors, Executive Support team, Corporate Assurance Team, Communications and Engagement teams and the Executive Directors and their teams.

Main duties of the job

To provide support to the Associate Director and Head of Corporate Assurance in the provision of professional, high-level, and comprehensive support in ensuring the Trust complies with statutory and legislative requirements of NHS regulators (including NHSE and CQC as appropriate in support of the Board of Directors and Council of Governors).

To provide support in the provision of the company secretarial/corporate governance related advice to the Board of Directors, Board Assurance Committees, Council of Governors and the Executive Management Team.

To support the Associate Director and the Head of Corporate Assurance in ensuring that a full and comprehensive secretariat service is maintained for the Board and its Assurance Committees, this will include in the absence of the Head of Corporate Assurance supervision of those providing administrative support to the Board Assurance Committees.

To undertake corporate roles and responsibilities in accordance with the grade and the nature of the role.

Claims Management Support

Complaints Management Support

Providing support to the Chief Executive in the management of the final stage of approvals of responses to letters of complaints, from the Chief Executive.

Enquiry handling for correspondence with MPs

Providing support to the Chief Executive in acknowledging receipt of enquiries from MPs, liaising with the Chief Executive, appropriate directors and services to investigate, draft and submit responses to the MPs office.
