Business Support Assistant, Band 2 - Learning Disabilities, Based at Firshill Rise, Sheffield S4
Working 22.5 hours over 3 days per week 9am - 5pm
This is an exciting time to join our service as we are currently in the process of developing our service and ways of working. We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, flexible, hardworking and motivated to contribute to our developing Business Support service.
In return we'll offer you a varied job, you'll be part of a well-established and supportive team which is made up of multi-disciplinary professionals such as Nursing, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language, Psychiatry and Business Support.
You'll also have opportunities for training and personal development, which we're keen to support. The Learning Disabilities service offers health support to adults who have a Learning Disability who live in Sheffield, we support a fabulous range of people from a really diverse background and although it can occasionally be challenging, no two days are the same.
The Business Support Team is well valued within Learning Disabilities, and we work alongside a highly specialist team to provide a great service.
Main duties of the job
The role of Business Support Assistant will be part of the team who provide a high quality administrative service for staff within Learning Disabilities.
We'd expect you to have some good administration skills, like meeting people, and you should be able to produce work to a high standard.
Our work is client focused , so a good understanding of confidentiality for both service users and staff is important to us.
You should also be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and professionals and be able to take and relay messages accurately.
It's expected that you'll work Wednesday - Friday 9 am - 5pm as you'll be needed to provide cover for the reception desk and telephones between these times. The role will be based at Firshill Rise, which is a purpose-built building in the North of Sheffield. We're close to transport links, and have on-site parking.
