Job summary
The IT Operations Team, part of the Digital directorate, seeks a dedicated individual to provide efficient and effective support for user endpoint technologies and security for the Trust and its partners.
This role requires working across all levels of the Trust and engaging with teams both within and outside the Digital directorate. The individual must be capable of multitasking and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working with endpoint security technologies and taking their first step into the world of Cyber Security.
Main duties of the job
- Work effectively as part of an IT Operations team.
- Provide advanced technical support for user endpoint hardware and software.
- Resolve complex technical issues and service requests.
- Communicate solutions effectively to users.
- Coordinate with system managers and external providers for maintenance and issue resolution.
- Proactively prevent problems using alert systems.
- Maintain documentation, including user guides and inventories.
- Role will be based citywide.

The post holder will:
Provide Technical Support:
- Provide second and third-line technical support for user endpoint hardware and software.
- Address incidents and service requests from the IT Service Desk or users directly.
- Interpret and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communicate problems and solutions effectively to users.
- Analyse user problems to identify potential solutions.
- Maintain progress in Digital reporting systems.
- Coordinate system maintenance with managers and departments.
- Resolve complex issues beyond the IT Service Desk's capability.
- Perform diagnostic tests to identify fault sources.
- Liaise with external support providers when necessary.
- Offer proactive support to prevent problems based on alert systems.
Be Responsible for Installation and Maintenance:
- Install standard and non-standard hardware and software, coordinating with suppliers.
- Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve endpoint infrastructure issues.
- Advise users on maximizing IT investments.
- Assist in managing the Trust's Software and Asset inventory systems.
- Maintain the Trusts Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution.
- Plan future developments to improve endpoint support.
- Contribute to endpoint infrastructure security.
- Develop and optimize software deployment.
- Maintain security compliance for all endpoint devices.
- Manage and monitor endpoint security systems.
- Ensure endpoint reporting to security and audit systems.
