Job summary
As an Infrastructure Engineer at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, your role is to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of critical networking and telephony systems across multiple clinical and corporate sites.
You'll be working in a team of dedicated technical professionals with a common goal of providing high quality digital services to colleagues and service users across Sheffield.
Main duties of the job
- The high availability and "fit for purpose" performance of the Trust's wired and wireless network infrastructure and VoIP telephony systems and hardware (IT Infrastructure); achieved through:
- proactive network & performance monitoring
- proactive capacity planning, maintenance/patching and upgrades
- effective incident & problem management
- successful change management
- clear documentation and diagrams
- The upkeep & maintenance of the Trusts Comms rooms, ensuring the environment is maintained to the highest professional standards.
- Undertaking large and complex IT Infrastructure projects including the design, commissioning and support of new IT Infrastructure to support new services.
- The provision of 3rd line IT technical support, assistance and direction to all members of the Digital Department.
