We are looking to appoint a Senior Data Analyst within the Informatics Service. This post based in the substance misuse team will provide technical data extraction and analysis skills to support the extract and transfer of data from electronic care records.
The successful candidate will bring experience and technical skills in data extraction techniques and SQL Server. The successful candidate will work with Substance Misuse Service and Digital teams to design and deliver data extraction techniques as to service specifications.
This post will report to the Informatics and Substance Misuse service and there will be opportunities to work on tasks across both services. Initially this post is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract basis to support some high priority work.
Main duties of the job
As a candidate for this role, you will be experienced in data extraction, know your way around SQL server and be confident with identifying where source data is stored in databases.
You'll need to be able to demonstrate.
- Strong technical skills including knowledge and experience of using tools in:
- The Microsoft SQL server such as SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, T-SQL.
- ETL Data skills (Extract Transform and load).
- Ability to quality assure and validate work.
You'll be confident in articulating and documenting the methods in how you have extracted data and provide assurance to colleagues that the information you have extracted is correct to support patient care.
