Job summary

  • Workplace Wellbeing (WWB) offers psychological and emotional support to staff who work through various Sheffield and South Yorkshire based NHS Trust
  • Provide qualified brief psychological therapies to WWB service users - specifically to offer individual support and group facilitation
  • Provide psychological support for groups of staff via psychological debriefing and psycho-educational support
  • Provides psychological support to individuals and groups who come from backgrounds that might find it hard to access this kind of support e.g. ethnically diverse backgrounds, working in-patient settings or from non-professional backgrounds
  • Manages all aspects of the appointments and waiting list system, including decisions around prioritising clients, in conjunction with their WWB Professional Lead.

Main duties of the job

To provide psychological support for staff and groups of staff from NHS staff

To provide psychological support to individuals and groups who come from backgrounds that might find it hard to access this kind of support e.g. ethnically diverse backgrounds, working in-patient settings or non professional backgrounds

To provide specialist psychological assessments of service users who self refer to Workplace Wellbeing, based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and psychometric tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations.

To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a service user's problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the person's problems, and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy, across a full range of care settings

To work on a daily basis in face to face individual and/or group therapy settings with service users presenting with complex and distressing psychological problems.
