Job summary
We are looking to appoint a Project Officer within the Programme Management Office (PMO) You will be joining Sheffield Health and Social Care at an exciting time as we implement transformational projects and programmes to deliver our innovative strategy and annual operating plan.
The role has two key elements:
- Working with Programme and Project Managers to support delivery of our Transformation Programmes and Annual Operating Plan.
- Managing small scale / low complexity projects and change initiatives
You will have experience of working within a Project Support role within projects and programmes and excellent organisational, communication and administration skills.

Main duties of the job
- Provide end to end project management from start up through to implementation and closure for small projects using appropriate project management approaches
- Support Project and Programme managers in the development of project documentation for example, project initiation documents and plans
- Maintain document repositories and ensure robust version control
- Coordinate and facilitate project and programme team and board meeting
- Support the project / programme team to enable effective planning and monitor progress to ensure projects remain on target for completion
- Assist in maintaining project controls particularly issue and risk logs escalating as required
The role is based in Sheffield, and we will be relocating to new modern offices in the city centre in Summer 2022. However SHSC has an excellent agile working policy with hybrid models of working in the office and at home encouraged.
