Job summary
This is a post for a LAS Doctor (ST4-6) -ST4-6 or equivalent experience in General Adult Psychiatry based at: Enfield South Core Community Team - 305-309 Fore Street, Lucas House, Edmonton, Enfield, N9 0PD
The Enfield South Core team, level 3, runs as a multidisciplinary team which provides community psychiatric treatment to service users experiencing a psychotic disorder including schizophrenia and bipolar affective disorders. The focus is on helping patients in community settings and providing tailored treatment in a holistic and broad spectrum which covers from medication to psychological services, assistance with finances and housing with the aim to re-integrate in the community. Crisis support is also offered in close communication with the crisis team and crisis houses.
Main duties of the job
You will assess patients and formulate management plans. You will conduct out-patient clinics each week. You will also do joint assessments with team members, assess and review patients at their homes, and visit patients in supported accommodation. You will attend the team meeting. You will discuss your assessment and management plan at the team meeting. Outside these meetings you can either phone or personally speak to the Consultants or other team members if you have questions or concerns about patients.

- MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification AND MRCPsych examination; OR a specialist qualification in psychiatry from an EU country that complies with the requirements of EU directive 2005/36/EC

- Eligibility for full registration with the GMC and a current license to practice at the time of appointment.
