Job summary
North London NHS Foundation Trust seeks to appoint an enthusiastic part-time consultant psychiatrist to our Barnet West Older Peoples Community Mental Health Team. This is an established post, which has become available since the previous full-time substantive consultant has expressed their desire to reduce their input to part-time work. The caseload will be divided between the two consultants as part of a job share.
This post offers 6 Programmed Activities per week - 4.5 PAs for direct clinical care and up to 1.5 PAs for supporting professional activity.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to provide clinical and professional leadership and to take part in related management activities. As a senior clinician, the post holder will have an integral role in the performance of the team, further development of the service, and the development of clinical pathways and priorities.
The post holder will be working in the Barnet West Edgware sector of the Older Peoples Community Mental Health Team. In addition, the post holder provides support to Barnet Memory Service offering support to the memory service doctors in relation to patients from Barnet West allocated patch. The post is subject to the annual job planning process agreed under the New Consultant Contract.
