Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, proactive and experienced business manager to join the Psychological Professions corporate team across North London MH Partnership as they move to a single leadership. The post-holder will work closely with the Director of Psychological Therapies by providing business and strategic management support. This will involve steering, coordinating and leading / delivering projects and activities as relevant to the priorities of the organisation and Psychological Professions both internally and externally.

The successful applicant will be expected to build positive relationships across the organisation and with external partners on behalf of the Director of Psychological Therapies. They will have excellent communication and leadership skills, strong financial and workforce management experience and a commitment to improving quality and performance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking at furthering their senior operational management experience. The successful candidate will be fully supported by the Director of Psychological Therapies and the senior psychology leadership teams. As well as being dynamic, adaptive and responsive to ever-changing requirements, the post holder will be expected to operate proactively and to pre-empt the needs of the Director of Psychological Therapies. They must be able to work autonomously whilst at the same time demonstrating a positive approach to multi-disciplinary working.

Main duties of the job

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the effective smooth and professional running of the Corporate Psychology Team and Functions.

To exercise a significant degree of discretion and high level of autonomy to identify management issues and developing solutions, working within a broad set of parameters and pro-actively seeking input from others as and if required

As and when required, to provide management oversight of a number of project work streams tracking progress and project performance, producing relevant highlight and delivery reports, pro-actively identifying slippages, emerging risks or other performance issues and escalating these as appropriate; this requires competencies in practically applying project management methodology and influencing a range of stakeholders to help ensure workstreams remain on track

This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly.
