Job summary
The North London Mental Health Partnership has ambitious plans for the delivery of mental health services for the people of North Central London. The Performance Improvement function provides vital support to the organisation in delivering on those ambitions.
The Performance Improvement Manager is one of a number of similar roles within the Performance Improvement Team. The postholder will work across the Partnership leading and supporting work that will focus on the organisations key strategic performance challenges, helping teams and Divisions ensure they are delivering against the vital areas of quality and performance.
The postholder will work closely with colleagues from across the Partnership including operational, clinical and corporate support functions, offering constructive challenge alongside advice and guidance and enabling people to 'think differently' about the problems and solutions that will help the Partnership achieve its aims.
This role is to cover a period of secondment and will be for an initial 6 months with the possibility that this may be extended.
Main duties of the job
Act as a subject matter expert in relation to improvement thinking and organisational effectiveness
Lead discrete pieces of work and projects across the Partnership focussed on delivering improvements that support organisational priorities
Working with a Quality Improvement methodology and approach, support the proactive identification and realisation of improvement opportunities
Develop and use long term future plans and models, including demand and capacity models, to inform service improvements and planning
Contribute to the development of the QI culture and enable others in their understanding and use of models, tools and techniques
Provide guidance on the best way to use data to support decision making and improvement
Give support to Performance Reviews, Quarterly Divisional Integrated Performance Meetings, deep-dives and business cases etc. through the provision of reports, information, analysis, insight and guidance
Take a proactive and prospective approach to the provision of analysis and insight, leading on the development of performance forecasting, recovery trajectories to meet future targets etc.
Work with leaders across the organisation to use data to inform planning and delivery of services including demand and capacity planning
Support the Analytics function with the collation, validation and sign off of any internal and external submissions

In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Enfield and Harringay Trust and Camden and Islington Trust. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
